Leveraging the Power of Protein Dynamics for Fine-Tuning Biology
Welcome to The Berlow Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the UNC School of Medicine! We are a growing team of biomedical researchers interested in understanding how protein dynamics and allostery mediate crosstalk between stress response pathways in biology and disease. We use a range of biophysical and biochemical tools to address outstanding questions in the areas of intrinsically disordered proteins, enzymes, and therapeutic strategies for targeting dynamic systems.
The interdisciplinary nature of our research provides ample opportunities for collaboration and trainees are encouraged to gain expertise in a wide range of skills that will prepare them for future scientific and biomedical careers. Lab members are also expected to be active participants in the vibrant scientific community at UNC and beyond, by interacting with their peers, attending scientific conferences, and participating in networking, outreach, and professional development events. The Berlow Lab is committed to providing a safe and inclusive training environment that celebrates the diverse backgrounds, viewpoints, and contributions of all lab members.
The Berlow Lab is currently recruiting graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduate researchers. Please contact Rebecca for details!
